Adobe Premiere Insert Plugin

PLEASE NOTE: Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 and later are not currently supported on Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3) Macs

The Cinedeck plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro is not yet Apple Silicon native so if you are running an M series based Mac please perform these steps before opening Premiere:

Please note that generating Padded ProRes and insertable H.264 out of Premiere Pro is a free function of the plug-in and does not require a license.

Codecs Supported for Insert

  • ProRes (if generated as CBR or Padded including by the Premiere plugin)

  • XDCAM

  • DNxHD

  • DNxHR

  • H.264 (if generated by Cinedeck software including the Premiere plugin)

Generating Padded ProRes (No license required)

To generate a padded ProRes in Adobe Premiere Pro, under export settings, set the format to Cinedeck Mov and the encoding to ProRes.

 

Insert Editing into a file from Adobe Premiere Pro

After setting in/out points in the timeline:

  1. Select Export tab > Format = Cinedeck Insert

 

 

2. Select Target Path > Audio/Video/Captions Insert requirements > Range source in/out

You can then select Export

 

 

3. Select Target Path > Audio/Video/Captions Insert requirements > Range source in/out

You can then select Export and you should receive confirmation of export as below.
