Copy File

The copy file action will copy the passed file to a specified location. Use target directory to specify the directory where you want to copy the file and in the name pattern field you can either keep the file name the same or specify the new name for your copied file.

By default the name is set to [filename]_copy which refers to the name of your file followed by the text “_copy.” For the name pattern you can leave the file name the same, replace the file name entirely or if you want to append it you can simply add text after [filename]. So if your source file is named “Weekend_Performance” and you use the name pattern [filename]_2024, your copied file will be named Weekend_Performance_2024.

By default if you try to copy a file to a location where another file with the same name already exists, the older file will be overwritten. If you’d rather the move fail when it finds an existing file with the same name, uncheck the box for “overwrite if exists.”
