Creating a Scenario

Creating a Scenario

In the scenario tab by default, within the ConneX database you will only see a the “default” scenario. You can either use that default scenario with the option to rename it in the file menu or a right click to rename scenario or you can create an entirely new scenario by choosing new from the file menu. You can also create folders so that you can place scenarios within the folders. This would allow you for example, to create a folder for each client and have within that folder scenarios for different types of deliveries for those clients. Any changes you make to the scenario will be saved when you close the program, but if you'd like to export a scenario you can do so by choosing File>Export Scenario and choosing a name for the scenario. You could then import that scenario on another system.

Multiple scenarios can be run simultaneously so for example if you have a watch folder set up but you’d like to start another workflow, simply switch scenarios and hit the start button, both scenarios will run simultaneously. The number of simultaneous scenarios you can run depends on the actions within the scenarios and the power and number of systems running the scenario. You can see the progress of running scenarios as a progress bar next to the scenario in the scenario list.
