Adding source channels from decks to the input source list
Each Cinedeck hardware “deck” will have anywhere from one to eight physical “Inputs” (or even more in special cases) These may or may not correlate with the number of inputs configured or shown in the Cinedeck 2.0 client.
The client can comfortably show up to 16 inputs spread across many decks and the client does not “care” what the actual source is on the deck. It can equally be SDI, NDI, SRT or other IP video sources.
The Input count on each deck refers specifically to the number of simultaneous sources that can be recorded given the CPU or GPU processing power available on the deck. Typical examples are the RX3G/RX2 with 2 inputs, the ZX40, ZX45 and ZX85 configured for four or eight inputs.
Once a deck has been added, one or more inputs from that deck can be added to the inputs source list.
To add an input from the deck to the Client Input Sources list, first select the deck from the IP address pulldown, then select an individual input.
Once an input is selected, the status light will show green if the deck is found on the network.
As each input is added, it simultaneously appears in the main “Input Sources” window.
