Testing Procedure

Once your CD2 is up and running you will need to do some benchmarking to ensure the system can handle your production requirements.

  1. Connect sources (SDI/SRT/NDI) try and use sources with lots of motion as this will increase the encoding load

  2. Follow the QuickStart guide to configure your sources and codecs

  3. Load Windows Performance Monitor

  4. Do a gang record

  5. If your any of the monitors are peaking above 80% you may run into problems as any background activity could push you aver the limit and cause recording errors. You may need to increase your hardware performance in that area.

  6. Then setup a long record on all your required channels for at least 4hrs, this will ensure that there are no out of memory errors.
