In CineXtools, set up the insert just as you normally would, either in the main Insert tab or in the Multi-insert tab. Once you have previewed the insert(s) and are happy with them
Select “Export File Insert Task” from the File menu.
The following window will open up:
containing “task name”, “Zip Archive Path” and “password (optional)” fields.
Select “Zip archive path” which will open the file open dialog. Select a destination folder and then enter a name in the dialog name field. We suggest a meaningful name, such as purpose of update, date/time, etc. Eg remove_boom_mic_scene_23B_05142020_1532. This field will also become the Zip archive file name.
Press save to save the file name and path.
Send the zip file to the third party performing the patch, if it is the third party’s first time receiving an update, download links and installation instructions may be found here: Remote Insert Agent - Quickstart

When the dialogue box is closed, CineXtools will create the archive containing the media and cxt_agent.cxt file, which can then be sent to the end user. |
