Scheduled Records

The record scheduler allows recordings on any input or group of inputs to be scheduled at any time in the future as single, daily and weekly events. Events may be edited up to 30 seconds before the current start time.

Scheduled Segment Records

Cinedeck also has the ability to schedule segment records where you can specify specific file names/locations in the schedule. Different path\file names can be added for each record and encoder.

To use this feature first you can schedule or manually start a record and have the schedule create your segments.

In this example Input 1 will start recording from 4pm and create the first segment at 4:01pm this segment will be recorded to c:\segment\tests\ and named segment1_%d_%M_%y_%T.mxf (segment1_day_month_year_time.mxf). Additional segment schedules can be added.

Things to keep in mind:

  • The schedule runs based on the time on the control client PC.

  • The schedule labels files based on the server time.

  • The segment file extension will need to match your encoder settings extension.

  • Segments need to be specified separately for each input in a record group

Creating and Importing Schedules

Schedules and segment schedules can be created externally on a spreadsheet and imported as a CSV.

Sample CSV:

"Local - input 01","Default","MO, TU, WE, TH, FR","16:00:00","22:00:00",record,
"Local - input 01","Default","MO, TU, WE, TH, FR","16:01:00","",segment,"c:\segment\tests\segment1_%d_%M_%y_%T.mxf"

“Deck name - Input Number”,”Preset”,”Interval”,“Segment start time”, “Blank”,”Folder and name and file extension”
