Once all of the configurations in previous pages are set, you can simply press the record button in the centre of the channel.

During the record, you will see that various overlays will appear red to show you that the channel is in record.

You will also see in the lower left corner of the channel, some real time diagnostic information. These numbers represent both Encoder and write buffers for Encoder 1 and Encoder 2. The numbers seen here are normal for an “I frame” Codec being encoded in E1, and a “long GOP” Codec being encoded in E2. During normal and stable recording, these numbers should remain the same, with a low, or zero number on the right side.

When you press the Stop button, you will see a dialogue box appear telling you that the recording is stopping and files are being closed, ready for review and post production workflows.

During Record, you can press the “Manual Break Button. This will create a segment break, Closing the current recordings and instantly starts new recording files with “seg 002” extension of the name. This feature will cache all frames recording when stopping and starting so no frames are lost.

You will see a dialogue box letting you know that the operation is happening.
