Presets

Presets are where settings are stored and are at the top of the hierarchy. 

A preset may have one or more inputs assigned to it but each input can only be assigned to one preset at a time. 

You can have multiple presets saved with different presets and have multiple presets running on different channels. 

(NB presets  are structured this way to simplify multicam setup) 

Adding a preset 

To add a preset click on the + icon and enter your preset name, This can be anything the resolution / frame rate you're working in, input source SDI, NDI, SRT for example. 

By double clicking on your new preset you will be able to set Input, Output, Primary encoder, Proxy encoder, Timecode and automation and Avid (Interplay setup).

To apply a preset to an input you simply drag and drop onto an input.

Record Setting 

Is an easy way to view all your input & record setting all in one place;

Displayed on the right-hand side of the UI and can be turned off/on as required.  

Preset Local/Global Lists

Are used to predefine folder / file naming so that the operator can simply be selected for your input. 

Names can be changed on the fly once the recording has been stopped / paused? 


Local lists can only be seen by the current preset, Global lists can be seen by all presets. 

Templates

Setup quick and easy unique file naming and folder structures, simply drag and drop your chosen wildcards into your desired location to create your folder structure (path) and filename. 


From here you can also set your Primary Tape ID and Still Image ??? 


You can easily view your template setting on the right-hand side of the UI, these can be turned off/on as required.  

Groups and Group Control (Gang record) 

You can precreate groups to assign inputs for group recording, these can be on just one deck or across multiple decks as long as you are on the same timecode source. 

These can easily be turned off/on to be viewed at the bottom of the UI


Scheduling (record)

You can create scheduled recording simply by clicking on the + icon and adding the following information; 

Input or Group - Single Input or selection groups 

Preset - pre configure presets 

Action - Record 

Interval - Once or Repeat 

Date - mm-dd-yyyy

Start / End time - 24hour format 

   

 These can easily be turned off/on to be viewed at the bottom of the UI

To delete a schedule record you need to ???

Recording

Once you have started recording you will see Start time, Elapsed time, Storage space remaining in gb and remaining record time at current data rate. By default the record borders will be red indicating recording and green when idle.


Audio metering is shown on the right for the current selected headphone pair. 


Enabling the metering overlay allows the user to select which audio pair is being monitored marked with yellow brackets. 


Playback

To playback a recording or a media file from another location, click on the (clapperboard icon) you will see a list of recorded files and an option to Add Media from local, network and external devices such as portable drives (not officially supported).
