Local Recording SSD Storage

SSD drives are not included as standard; these can be added or the customer can purchase and install their own drives. We do not believe in tying the customer in and charging extortionate prices for drives.

Rollover recording

dsk1 full copy to dsk2 not backward compatible

Hot swappable drives

So you can send dsk1 to editorial

SSD Connection @Post

SSD to USB or Thunderbolt cable

Once all SSD are Full

Stop recording to change over SSD

Network Recording Storage Support

SAN / NAS

Copy to two different network storage simultaneously

Copy to MAM Watch folder

Copy Local and over Network simultaneously

Redundant Recording

Helping protect your data.

Supports - Local record to SSD, Network  SAN/NAS and MAM Watch folder

Recommendations

  1. If you are recording a high number of High Res (4k) streams we recommend copying locally to SSD’s.

  2. When recording High Res (4k) only to SSD’s it is not recommended to use redundant recording (dual record) as it doubles the load on the system sata bus with no benefit.

Simultaneous Primary & Proxy Recording

Depending on the CineDeck model and input type one or more encoder tabs will be available per input.

This means you can encode more than one file per input such as HighRes & Proxy file, each tab allows the user to specify the codec, wrapper and other attributes.

When in UHD mode there are 4 encoders UHD, HD, HD Proxy & H264

Depending on Codec & FPS

Segment Recording

Supports auto / manual segment recording for;

Keeping files to a manageable size.

Clip to make media available for editorial

Change of Codec, Wrapper, Naming between segments

Manual segment breaks - where the operator presses the break button whenever convenient for editorial or if something of interest occurs.

Segment recording also supported as custom commands in CineDecks implementation AMP protocol (old protocol) so that FN Tech and other 3rd party remote software can control segmenting clips manually or automatically via RS422

Schedule Recording

Auto record schedule Start/Stop.

Record, Pause, Resume

You can pause a recording and then resume with no break in recording/file, pressing stop will finalise the recording/file.

Pause & Seek

Enables the operator to not only pause but to overwrite already recorded content, for example if there is an issue in a take and the editor wants a retake.

Group (Gang) Record

Enables multiple channel record / playback on the CineDeck.

Pre-set group (gang) record to record all channels - schedule group of channels

3rd party Gang Control also supported (Can be controlled by 3rd party controllers)

Staggered Recording

Enables the operator to stager recording for each channel for example by 2sec useful for when recording to shared storage and network bandwidth is limited or when NAS/SAN limits the number of simultaneous folder/file creations.

Playback

Files can be played back as soon as recording starts

UI allows any recorded clips to be played from the UI including 3rd party clips, However 3rd party clips will need to be added to the CineDeck clip database before playback.

Remote Control

Supported VDCP, AMP via RS422 andTCP-IP so the deck can be controlled by 3rd party controllers, also CineDeck free API is available (to code)

Multi-Channel / Multi-Deck / Multi-Platform control UI and soon to be released (Q1 2022) Web app.

! VNC and Teamviewer are also supported !

File Naming

  • No labels
