Backblaze

Backblaze is a pioneer in robust, scalable low cost cloud backup and storage services. Personal online backup to enterprise scale data storage solutions.

To set up ConneX to send files to Backblaze follow the following steps:

 

  1. Go to https://www.backblaze.com website and sign up

  2. Then you will find the "buckets." You will need to create a new one by clicking on Create Bucket

  3. Give The Bucket a name and set your preferences then click Create a Bucket

  4. Then you need to go to Application Keys and create one by clicking on Add a New Application Key

  5. Give the Key a name and set your preferences then click Create New Key

  6. Copy these settings and save them in a notepad file as you will need them to configure ConneX

  7. Open Connex and add the Backblaze node by dragging it to the workspace

  8. Select the Backblaze node to edit the settings

  1. Copy and paste your Backblaze KeyID into the KeyID field in ConneX

  2. Then copy and paste your Backblaze applicationKey into the application Key field

  3. Enter the AWS region in the region field in ConneX. You can find your region by clicking on Buckets, it should be the first part of the endpoint name without the “s3.” at the beginning or the “.backblazeb2.com” at the end.

  4. Then add the bucket name you would like the files sent to.

 

Your Backblace Bucket will now be ready to receive files from ConneX
