RS422 Board installation

  1. Remove top lid from unit. There is 1 screw on each side near the front of the unit. slide the lid back and up to remove.

  2. Remove long metal brace.

  1. Install the RS422 board as shown in the picture below. The double sided tape should elevate the board so there is no chance of contact with the metal case. Apply firm pressure to secure the board to the surface.

  2. Connect the USB connector from the board to the motherboard. Make sure the notch cutout matches the notches on the connector. secure the extra slack on the cable with ziptie.

  3. When looking at the unit from the back, we will use the two pci slots closest to the right. I think the 10G network card is installed in one of those slots. Please relocate to another available slot.

  4. Remove the blank shields from the two slots. Take note of the labels and install the two PCI brackets into the appropriate locations. Tighten down screws.

  5. I have marked the connectors on the RS422 board and the connectors on the PCI brackets. Install into the appropriate location. 1 to 1, 2 to 2, etc…

  6. Check over everything and make sure there isnt anything loose or cables close to fans. Resecure metal brace and reinstall top lid.
