Deploy image from Cinedeck restore USB

  • The Cinedeck machine should be powered off

  • Turn off and push out any front storage drives. Remove or disconnect any USB or SATA drives.

  • Insert the Restore USB to one of the blue USB ports on the back panel. If you have an older system with the exact layout as the below picture(6 black ports and 2 blue ports), use either of the two black ports closest to the power plugs.

  • Insert a keyboard.

  • Power up the Cinedeck machine and keep tapping the delete key to enter the BIOS.

  • Go to the last page of the BIOS and under boot override, select the Restore USB.

  • The restore process will begin to load. You will be prompted twice to press 'y' and enter to confirm you want to deploy the image.

  • You will see a blue screen with red progress bar. This process should take around 10-20 mins.

  • If you do not see a blue screen with red progress bar(shown above) and the screen goes to the Power off, Reboot, Enter command line prompt screen(shown below). Please try a different USB port and repeat the process. The restore process should take 10-20 mins.

  • After the progress bar reaches 100%, and you reach the screen below, the restore is complete. Select power off.

  • Remove the Restore USB, turn on and reconnect any storage drives.

  • Power up the unit.
